ABOUT ME

It felt like my world fell apart after my mother received a terminal cancer diagnosis but the time we spent together was quite magical in many ways.  She sat with me and planned her own funeral, which gave her a sense of calm and peace.  When the time came, our family and friends were comforted in the knowledge that she had the funeral she wanted. There was no doubt in our minds that we were honouring her wishes.

This inspired me to set up FUNnerals – in the hope that perhaps we could do more to have control over our own funeral wishes and also celebrate the life of those we love.

I have extensive experience at management level within the corporate world, including two FTSE 100 Companies, but decided to change direction and work for myself doing something I truly believe in.  I am also studying bereavement counselling to gain deeper understanding.

Over the years, I have discovered that I have an exceptional eye for detail and relish all aspects of organising.  I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life and just love what I do. 

I first started my ‘new’ life as a freelance events coordinator – working on product launches to birthdays and weddings and I am now specialising in personalised funeral wishes and memorial or celebration of life events, with extra sparkle.
